Ria had made a date with Colby for lunch, and they had agreed to just meet at Colby's place while Ria left her children with their oldest daughter to babysit for the day. Ria moved through the garden that she had just apparated and then she walked in brinsk short steps up the pathway. She smiled a bit as she moved to the door. She knocked on it and she waited. They had to speak because she knew that she needed to give her as much information as possible. It was time for Ria to tell Colby and possibly ask a huge favor of her.

Colby had been looking forward to her lunch with Ria. Colby spent a lot of time alone since the girls went off to Hogwarts. James was working and the house elves honestly preferred it if she stayed away from them and whatever they were doing. So she simply took up reading, lots and lots of reading. She thought about calling Ria, but she knew Ria was busy, she had twin boys to take care of and Colby knew that it wasn't easy taking care of kids close in age, let alone twins. She got dressed and made herself up nicely, walking downstairs when she heard the door. She opened the door and smiled at her friend. "Hey Ria." She moved out of the way so Ria could come in. "How have you been?"

Ria hoped she didn't look as weak as she felt as Colby opened the door. She took a deep breath and then smiled as she stepped into the home and hugged Colby gently as she spoke, "Well, we will broach the subject of how I am over coffee." She pulled out fo the hug and took a gentle breath as she stepped back and looked at the house. She closed her eyes and then spoke, "How are you, and the kids? Getting to enjoy the pregnant daughter at all?" She laughed a bit at the idea.

Colby frowned, Ria looked tired, but not the normal tired, not the tired Colby was use to seeing from natalia lately but... just exhausted. "Alright." She smiled, hugging her friend. It was actually really funny in her opinion, in Hogwarts Colby had not liked Ria. They had barely known each other but she had just really not cared for the girl. However now she condisered Ria to be her best friend. "Good, good. James is always working, Elijah's being... Elijah. Ileana and Audrina are slowly driving me crazy and Natalia's... close to either haveing a baby or losing her ever loving mind." Colby smiled. "Yeah, Logan's away a lot with school so I go over to see her." She was excited to become a grandmother. "What about your kids? The boys break anything expensive?" She asked with a smile.

Ria felt even more exhaused as she fell onto a chair in Colby's living room and spoke, "Not yet, but I only give it time. They are still kids." Ria felt like she could cry when she said the words. She felt like she was going to miss it. Ria looked up to Colby as she ran her hand over her arms and then smiled, "I am glad to hear that all the kids are doing well. Wyatt talks to Logan often form what I hear." Ria looked over the room and she sighed gently. She wondered how one told their nearest friends this kind of news. She looked up and then she spoke, "You know that you have come to be one of my dearest friends over this period of time since I was teaching, correct?"

"Would you like anything to drink?" Colby asked, she could see their house elf out of the corner of her eye glaring at her because she hadn't asked yet. "Of course, You should see the damage Ileana and Audrina managed when they were young." She missed the days when her daughters were close, now it seemed like Ileana just wanted to get away from all of them. She pushed it from her mind and smiled, nodding. "That's what Natalia says, I'm glad Logan has Wyatt honestly. According to Natalia, Logan's really nervous about the baby, especially since he's not going to be around as often." She smiled and smoothed her dress before sitting down. "Yes I figured as much. And You've become mine... my only friend that I'm not closely related to honestly."

Ria nodded as she spoke, "Just water, I think." she looked to see Colby's eye line and she laughed as she shook her head and smiled, "They are such odd creature, but they seem nice." She then listened about the two. She shook her head as she spoke, "Imagine them as twin boys. They love that tellie. They can't be pulled away from it, and I honestly don't have the energy to argue anymore." Ria nodded as she spoke, "Wyatt's a good soul. He will help lead the boy down the right path. My, oh, my. It seems I was jsut teaching them only moments ago. now we are here." She laughed a bit as she spoke, "Wyatt and I only had to be about their age when we got Naomi. They will be fine. They are a strong couple." Ria took the glass of water she was handed and then took a sip. She wet her lips and they still felt dry She felt like she could drain this and three more glasses of water. She cleared her throat as she looked to the glass and spoke, "Then I must tell you something." She looked up and moved her hand to pull at the wig that resembled her own hair so well. She revealed a half balding head of hair as she set the wig in her lap and spoke, "I am dying, Colby."

Colby nodded and the house elf scurried off. "I like them well enough. They think they own the house though, just because they clean it." Actually her father had berated her on more than one occasion for being so leinent on their house elves. He figured they were servants and they should be treated as such, but she'd had these two for so long, and all her kids loved them, they'd have her killed before they let her treat them like her father treated his. "Oh I don't want to. Boys are harder in the beginning, in my personal opinion, running around like crazy, then they grow up and the girls... well my girls... freaked out. Ileana... I don't even want to go there." She ran a hand through her hair, she understood that her daughter was going through a lot but... she was just plain nasty sometimes. "Oh I know Natalia and Logan will be fine, they just don't know it yet." She shook her head and smiled looking at her friend, the smile faltered when Ria said she had to tell her something and by the time Ria had the wig off, Colby's face was a mixture of confusion, horror and sympathy. "You're what?"

Ria shrugged about the House Elves her part. She and Logan didn't have one, and now that she really thought about it. Ria was happy they didn't have one. She looked to Colby and shrugged again. She sighed a bit and tried to not think about it. She didn't want to think about the things they didn't have. She worried that one day she might be one of them. Ria grinned brightly as she spoke, "Oh, yeah... The boys don't stop running around. At least they listen to Wyatt, or I think that I would go crazy. I'm sorry the girls seem to be giving you so much trouble lately." Ria took another sip of her water and felt her hands shaking a bit. She set the glass down as she looked up and spoke, "They will see that they will be fine."Ria saw Colby's face and heard the words. She sighed a bit as she looked up and spoke, "I am dying, Colby. They found cancer, and they can't fix it with magic. Wyatt and I are looking for thee best Muggle place to go. We aren't sure where to go exactly. We...we are using the Muggle thing...the internet to learn. We....we just hope...." Ria couldn't even continue. She looked to the wig in heer hands and closed her eyes tightly.

Colby put down her drink and the house ef scurried out to take it to the kitchen. She looked at Ria. "Have you already started chemo?" She didn't know a lot about muggle medicine. She just knew the bare minimum and she knew the hair loss generally came from the chemotherapy. She had no idea what to say. Her best friend... and it couldn't be fixed by magic? What kind of thing could be cured by muggle medicine and not magic? That made no sense to her. Granted she'd always put so much stock into the idea and magic could fix anything. She looked at her friend again and bit her lip, trying not to cry. She just felt so bad for her and she felt worse because she didn't know what to say. She had no idea what to say to make this situation less tense and less... she bit her lip harder.

Ria gave a small nod as she spoke, "Yes, and I didn't want to loose my hair, so...Wyatt helped me shave it all off and we made it into my wig. He and I both cried when it happened. We...we just didn't want it falling out in clumps like it was starting." She hiccuped a bit and then excused herself. She looked to the wig in her hands as she spoke, "I...I will be leaving for America soon. They have one of the best cancer doctors there. W-we are going to try to hire someone to stay with me." She reached out a hand and laid in on Colby's. She took a deep breath as she spoke, "I need a favor of you. Will you check up on Wyatt and the kids once in awhile for me? I mean...I know we're moving in his mother and cousin...but..." Ria removed her shaking hand and laid it back on her lap.
