Amelie's eyes widened and she looked at him. "No! No you didn't offend me." She said quickly, "I just..." She looked away and sat back down. There was no way she could say 'I'm not good enough for you, you must have me mistaken for someone else. I'm not cool, I'm not someone you'd hang out with. I'm a loser. I spend all my time in the library studying and thinking about the good times people like you have.' There was no way to describe the feeling she got in her stomach when she broke rules that made it easier to just follow the rules. She just... didn't want to seem like a freak or a clingy loser. She simply picked up her fork and went back to her food. "Alright." She said gently, she blew it, he wasn't going to want to talk to her again... maybe that was for the best.
"Really?" She asked, looking at him. Auror she hd expected, that seemed to be the go to job for guys like him, as in guys who were strong, and being on the broom and training for quidditch tended to do that, so it was the back up plan for most quidditch players that were smart enough for a back up plan. "I heard it's really hard to become one, you have to get almost perfect scores on DADA, Potions, transfiguration..." She trailed off. "But I'm sure you know that." She nodded. "Headmaster..." She didn't really know what to say about that, she liked it, she liked the idea that he wanted to be headmaster. She smiled lightly to herself. "That's really cool." She said honestly. she took another bite of her pancakes and chewed slowly.
She shrugged, she was weird, she was kind of weird. She was obsessive, she just never thought to do anything about it. She didnt' mind it, it was just a slight inconvience and it drove her sister and mum up the wall. Mason understood... kind of and her dad understood for the most part. Aiden didn't really care, neither did Summer or Tyson so whatever. "I really don't care what they say." That was a lie but whatever. "Exactly, my mum says it's fine, she lived off family money for years, until she married my dad but really she's not a person one should strive to emmulate." She said. Her mother was alright, she was a great Mum, but she was kind of... unmotivated and she still drank a good deal when she wasn't pregnant. Amelie pushed that from her mind and took a drink.
