Harry walked towards the owlery to send his mother a letter. It had been about a month since his last letter home and he knew his mom must be missing him and his sister. He tried to send her an owl twice a month but he had been busy with homework and quidditch.
Harry walked into the large room and looked for his owl Percy. He liked owls and sometimes came to the owelry just to spend some time with them. Harry stroked Percy's feathers gently, before attaching his letter to his owls leg. He gave the owl a treat, and watched as it flew off to deliver it's burden.

((I decided I'd rather use Bianca Reynolds...))
"Dear mum and dad, everything is fine, Edward is behaving and I'm still a prefect, shock right? Anyway, classes are going fine and nothing terribly interesting is going on so... love you, Bianca." She said, reading her letter to herself as she hurried up the stairs. Her parents hated, okay her mum hated, when she didn't send a letter on time. She pushed open the door and walked into the owlery, making a face. It always smelled muggy and like bird crap. She whistled and her owl came swooping down. "Hey Spark." She said, tying the letter to the bird's leg.
Sparky flew away and Bianca watched her go, she walked away from the mirror, surprised to see that she wasn't alone in there. She smiled softly and nodded at him politely. She wasn't really shy, but the natural thing was to just nod and move on. She knew who he was, Harry Blackwood. She just... sort of knew him.

Harry turned around after Percy flew off and saw a girl walk into the room. He smiled when he saw her smile at him. He recognized her as Bianca from his house, but he had never really spoken to her before. She was cute, more so then he had realized before.
Harry was debating whether or not to talk to her. He wasn't shy normally, but for some reason he couldn't really find the words to say to her. "Hey Bianca." he said finally. "Writing home to the parents?" he added. He inwardly shook his head, as he wished he would've thought of something better to say.

Bianca smiled at him. "Yeah, you know how it goes, mum gets worried if we don't write home on a regular basis. She actually made my dad visit when I neglected to write for three weeks." She rolled her eyes but smiled. She loved her mum, even with her crazy cleaning issues. She smoothed her skirt and shrugged. She was still in her uniform, but she'd left the robe and sweater in her dorm, and the shirt was untucked. She walked along.
"So, writing your parents?" she asked. she didn't know anything about his family, and she suspected he knew about the same about hers. She placed her hands on her hips and looked at him. "I don't know what kind of trouble they think we'll get into around here, if we do anything too horrible they write home... found that one out the hard way." She nodded.

Harry tried to suppress the usual pang that came when hearing about other people's fathers. Even though it had been over six years, he still could remember his last moments with his father when he saved him and his mom and sister. "Yeah I'm writing my mom." he said. "She can get on my sister and me if we don't fill her in on what's going on at Hogwarts." he said with a small smile.
Harry laughed. "Yeah, I've gotten a howler once." he admitted. "It wasn't even really my fault." he added. "A sixth year Slytherin was picking on a second year gryffindor and I butted in." he said. "This was last year mind you." he said. "I butted in and we ended up getting into a duel." he said. "We were stopped before anything happened, but that didn't stop them from owling my mom." he added.

Bianca smiled, thinking, why did she feel like she'd said something wrong? What was it- oh... yeah... Bianca's mate Genevieve had a crush on Harry the year before and was talking about his dad... oops. Oh well he didn't seem too upset by her mentioning her dad. How long ago had his dad's death happened? Did it matter? She pushed the thoughts from her mind. "Honestly Mums can generally be terrfying." She joked, her mother wasn't too scary, unless she was on one of her crazy sprees.
"I hate howlers. My mum loves that place." She rolled her eyes and smiled. She remembered hearing about that. "It was brilliant though, not many people would stop a bully." She nodded. She was so sick of hearing kids worry about bullies. She was doing her best to stop them but... whatever, there was only so much she could do, but she was going to do as much as possible. "My mum gets letters regularly between me and my brother." Actually she was better at getting away with things, obviously since they'd made her a prefect.
