It was an average day for Meredith. She had woken up early that morning, made breakfast (bacon and eggs something easy) for Eli and then she'd gotten to work. Early in the morning and late at night were Meredith's prime working hours because that was when she wasn't changing diapers, breaking up fights and trying to convince her daughter that it was okay to eat the strained veggies. She had actually done quite a bit with her morning before she heard Violet's cries. Then she'd gone up to find her beautiful baby girl with her toes in her mouth and a happy smile on her face. She'd gotten the girl dressed before she went to wake up the boys. Seamus was easier to get up than Cedric. She got them up and down to eat their morning cereal then got them dressed.
It had been a day of the usual, the boys played and fought and played again, Violet cooed and cried and demanded attention and Meredith tried her damnedest to design a few things between all of that. She had her dress dummy half dressed in the corner and Violet swinging in her baby swing when she heard the dreaded sob and Seamus crying 'Mummy!' Meredith sighed and walked over to behind the couch where the boys explained, in their garbled half speech, that Cedric had hit Seamus because he was being a dodo head. So Meredith put Cedric in Time out and sent Seamus up to the playroom to get crayons and paper so he could draw for a little while. Finally she took a moment to breathe, plopping on the couch by Violet's swing.

Eli had woken up early with his wife, and eaten the bacon and eggs she made for him. He kissed his wife goodbye, and went to Quidditch practice. But today, it wasn't as exciting as usual. All the captain did was go over plays and such. Eli had almost fallen asleep three times. Everything just blurred together. All he heard from the captain's mouth was 'Blah-blah-blah-blah.' Finally, around lunchtime, he was allowed to go home for the night. He hurried home, wanting to see his children and beautiful wife. As soon as he walked through the front door, he heard the screaming of one of his sons.

"Seamus honey, hurry up, you know mummy doesn't like you to be up there alone." Meredith called, finally standing up. She jumped about a foot in the air when she saw Elijah, she hadn't been expecting him home yet and hadn't heard the door open. She smiled after she got over the initial shock and walked over. "Hey baby." She said, kissing him quickly. She went back over to the swing to pick up the fussing Violet and bounced her gently. "Violet, daddy's home." She cooed. The baby made a noise and flailed her chubby legs. Cedric looked over from the time out chair and wriggled, wanting to get up to say hi to Daddy.

Eli smiled at the sight of his wife. He loved the feeling of her lips on his. "Hey babe." He greeted. Eli loved being home. "Hi Vi." He smiled at his daughter. He looked over at Cedric in the time out chair. Eli gave his son 'the look'. He looked around. "Where's Seamus?"

Violet giggled at her daddy. "Seamus is up in the playroom getting crayons and paper." As if on cue the boy came shooting down the stairs to hug his dad's legs. "And now he's down here clinging to you." Meredith smiled, kissing him again before going over to Cedric. She got down on one knee, balencing the baby in her arms. "Cedric, do you know why you're in time out?" she asked. He nodded, looking upset. "Are you going to hit your brother again?" He quickly shook his head. "okay go say sorry to Seamus." She got back up and he walked over to his dad and brother "Sorry Seamiss." they hadn't quite gotten the hang of Seamus yet... or Cedric for that matter. "It's kay Ceric!" Seamus said happily.

Eli laughed as his son clung to his leg. "Hey Seamus." He smiled down at the boy. As Meredith dealed with Cedric understanding what he did, Eli did a trick for Seamus. He took out his wand and grabbed a pin couchin(sp?) from his wife's desk. He muttered something under his breath, and the coushin(sp?) transformed into a white dove. Eli chuckled as his sons tried to say each other's name.

Seamus and Cedric both cheered at their dad's trick and Meredith quirked an eyebrow. "I needed that." She said, then smiled. She was just happy to have him home, mostly because dealing with the three kids was a lot of work. "Hey guys, what do you say we go to the kitchen and you can draw with daddy while Mummy makes lunch?" She asked. The boys nodded, jumping up and down before looking at their dad for his okay. Violet tried to shove her fist into her mouth while they waited.

Eli smiled, turning the dove back into a pin cushoin. "Why not? Let's go draw boys!" He cheered, smiling.

The boys cheered and ran to the kitchen, climbing up into chairs. Meredith followed and put Violet in her high chair and left a couple of toys up there for her to smack against the tray. "Okay what sounds good?" She asked, opening drawers. Meredith was not a chef, she wasn't quite as inept as her mother in the kitchen, but she was no house-witch. She looked at the boys who looked thoughtful. "Mac and cheese it is." She said without waiting they shrugged and started fighting over the red crayon.

Eli smiled at his wife. She was ravishing today, like always. She had been beautiful since the night they met. He'd love her 'til the day he'd die, he even said so at their wedding. He was pulled from his throughts by his sons fighting. "Boys, boy, share. How 'bout, Seamus gets the red crayon first, and 'til he's done, Cedric can use the blue crayon?"

Meredith got out her wand and started things going, getting the water on to boil and while she was at it she started putting together Violet's bottle. She was going to have to put the baby down for a nap soon after this and then the boys, she still insisted on the boys taking a bit of an afternoon nap. Which was good because now she and Eli could have some alone time. She smiled at Eli and the boys who had begrudgingly accepted the off and Cedric now held the blue crayon. "Hey boys, maybe after your nap daddy will take you out back to play." She said with a smile, that cheered them both up.

Eli picked up a yellow crayon and started doodling. A broom. A badger-ish thing. A heart. A rose. Things that reminded Eli of Hogwarts.
He smiled when Meredith said he might take the boys out to play after their naps.

Meredith finished off the food, adding the cheese and doing it all with her wand. She wasn't one hundred percent sure how she'd survive taking care of three kids (And Eli) without magic. She picked up Violet and started feeding her, using wandless magic to get the maceroni into three bowls, with forks in each and then over to her guys. "Okay Boys, time to eat." She said gently bouncing Violet. She went over to look at their pictures. Cedric had drawn a monster, Seamus had drawn what looked like a big squid... kind of... she was use to the boys odd drawing styles so she could usually tell what they were trying to get across. She walked over to Eli and kissed the top of his head looking at the hogwarts related foder he had on the paper. "Missing the old days are we?" She asked, him.

Elijah smiled over at his boys; he wished he could spend more time with them and live his dream as a pro-quidditch player. He had worked all his life to be able to do this, training with his dad, and then his little brothers. Then making Hufflepuff's quidditch team... then he met Meredith. And that was that, his life was complete. Eli could barely believe they had made it all those years, even with the few years where they had separated. He grinned as his wife kissed his head. "Maybe. But just a little bit."

Meredith smiled, but that quickly faded as Violet started to whine. "Oh I know baby girl, you have it so hard." She bounced the baby a bit trying to get her to calm down. "Daddy I don't want Macaoni." Cedric whined, poking at the contents of the bowl. Seamus happily started eating, watching his mom walk around with the baby, then to his dad when Cedric complained. "I'll be back, Violet needs to be changed." She said, walking out into the other room so the boys wouldn't have to smell it while they were trying to eat.
